help! ebay question

my friend went on ebay to look for a pioneer avh 7500 and he bid on one of those scam deals where they send you the websites or whatever instead of the cd player ... he bid $50 and he said he didnt put a maximum bet but he got an email today saying he won the item for $460 . Does he HAVE to pay it or what would happen if he didnt ?

He might get a negative feedback, but you can always create another Ebay account..

alright thanks guys .. that would have pissed me off .. i mean he bidded $51 and it got up to $460 and he didnt read the whole thing .. that was a bad little experience for him

Your "friend" needs to learn that all that writing in the action explains what the auction is for and if you choose not to read that shit you are now obligated to buy whatever and to bail is pretty crappy- I think he should have to pay for being a retard.

ive only bought about 8 items on ebay but i read throughlly through all the details and take my time going through that , he said he had never bought anything on there and im pretty sure he doesnt need anything on there if the 1st time he tries this is what happens lol

I have eBayed too much to fall for the story at any rate. You simply cannot place a bid of $51 and then get a PayPal invoice for $460. Not gonna happen...
