I went to the store this morning to get coffee and came out to go to work and realized my amp was in protect and i dont know why ive tried reseting the hu and it still is in red.I opened it up and nothing seems wrong nothing loose or nothing. So now im stuck and dont know what to do

happened to my first gp3000dpro TWICE

nothing on the board to indicate any signs of misuse/burning/blown up parts

the maxxsonics guys told me this board seems pretty suseptible to vibrations, so the fets must have just given out from vibrations, even though my first gp3000dpro was isolated from the box, etc. and didnt absorb any vibes.

warranty covered it both times if i remember correctly.

send it in to maxxsonics for warranty if you bought it authorized

all 1/0 wire batt in rear with stock alt but i bairly have the gain on maybe set to less then a 1/4 turn iv always had it set like that and never get any dimming

i bought it from someone on here and not sure if it still has warranty or not do you know what they said it was

The amp has short circuit protection.

Disconnect the speaker leads and RCA cables at the amp and then turn on the head unit.

If the red light turns off and the green power light turns on, you have a short in the speaker leds or subwoofer(s).

If it stay in protect, call (847) 540-7700 and ask for tech support.
