Help connecting remote

So i have my remote running from my amp to my stereo but i have trouble connecting the remote beacuse i have no clue were it connects to i have a 96 accord ex

The blue wire coming out of your player is what you connect it to...the other end hooked up to your amp. Well its blue on the few harnesses ive dealt with.

i know i connected it to it but nothing happens people say its supposed to be a blue and white wire and others say my harness will not have it

Im really confused rite now i know its not my ground

lol, you didn't need to make a new thread...Your making this too complicated. One end gets connected to your amp, which has a "REM" terminal. The other end get's connected to your head unit (or cd player, whatever you want to call it). Nothing gets connected to the vehicle wiring. There should be a wire coming out of your HU (which I believe you said is an Alpine) that is your "Remote turn on wire" That's what you want to connect to.

I only said it was blue/white because you said that. Check your manual it will tell you exactly what color the wire is.

In back of the bag were the wiring harness came in it says blue and white (turns on amp) but theirs no blue and white coming out the harness only a blue one

Well then I don't know what to tell you...there should be a blue/white wire in the harness

Just do what DrChronic suggested and use the red ignition wire

just tap a remote connection from your fuse box.

you just need to connect the wire to something that only has power when you turn the car on. my car right now has a stock headunit, so i dont have a remote turn on wire either. you just gotta find the right one. you can take one of those tester things, and test wires when the car is off, then turn it on and see if it has power then. that can mean a lot of cutting and taping though.haha
