HELP chosing amp

Ok turns out my last amp was just a bad amp. I need some help this time on picking a new amp for my subs. My subs are DUAL's enclosure with 2 12'' in it. It only has 2 wire inputs in the back. They are rated at 1100 total watts, 600rms, 4ohms, and dual voice coils. What kind of amp wouldi be looking at for these.

Sorry they are single voice coils. and i mean they have just 2 inputs on the back. I dont really know too much about them. They are the DUAL BP1204 model.

ok. thanks. What would be a amp to get that would work either way with them. I am new at this. The amp did have hooked up to them worked some but i did not have it grounded right so it did not last. When i told some friends what i had hooked up to it they could not beleave it would even hit. the amp was rated at 1800 watt 4 ohm bridged. but i think the amp was having to work to hard also.

you have to look at the rms ratings of amps and subs....if your total rms requirement is 600watts rms, then the amp needs to be around 600 watts rms @ whatever total resistance will be presented by the drivers.....

so if the duals are 300watts rms @ 4ohm each, then you would want an amp that does 600watts rms @2ohm mono.(the coils in parallel would present a 4+4=2ohm load and add the rms together)

Are they the ones from best buy with the neon blue lights in them?

If they are single 4ohm voice coils then just find an amp that puts out 600 rms at either

2ohms or 8ohms. But I would suggest getting new subs and a better box. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Thanks again. I just found out they are 600rms each.
I highly doubt that if they are duals. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

If I'm correct this is what you have.

Those are what i have and the only reason i got them was because they were cheaply priced(60 bucks brand new). There is a audio store that is in town that works and sells car audio. I showed them the subs and they said they were 600 rms to each sub. I thought they were lying about that. So i will just get a 600 rms at 2 ohms amp. Thanks for helping!
