Help choosing an amp...

So I am planning on buying an Alpine Type R 15", and I don't know whether to buy a 2 or 4 ohm sub because I am new to car audo and am not sure what would be the best..

I just wanted to see what you people think would be the best setup, while not spending over like 250 for an amp... thanks!

If you are doing just the one sub, get the 2ohm version. That way, you can wire parallel for a 1ohm final load.

As for amp suggestions, do some searching around here. There is a lot of info on here about all varieties of Type R's.
