help choosing a really good amp

I need some help on choosing a good amp for 2 rockford p3 subs.

i have a crunch 1500.1 amp and the **** thing cant handle it.. it goes into protect mode all the time... overheats.

and could you please pick the amp off of sonic electronics..

im leaning towards hifonics, but i dont know anymore:crap:

only found three on sonic eletronics..

the rockford, hifonics,and the kicker...

but the prices are just a little out of my range.... i guess i can fork out some more cash for good sound quallity

just currious, how good is memphis brand amps.. im just wondering... and also whats the opinion on jl 's amps....

and i really like the kicker amp. but 600. d amn

All those seem to me like too much power for P3s.

500rms / 1000 max and depending on the VC's they might not be running at 1ohm

I would go with an Audioque 1200D assuming you need the power at 1ohm.

well i bought the memphis 1000watt pr series amp.

I don't know why people start throwing out amp recs w/o even knowing what load will be driven.

Not to mention nobody asked him how his gain was set, or what his electrical is like.

I mean crunch isn't the greatest, but wonder why it's going into protect.

i have 2 batterys big 3 and really thick wire ran to the amp..

i have the dual 4s and they are wired up to a 1 ohm load.

and i went to a local audio shop and they replaced the crunch amp twice because the the first one was a defect and the second one was the same.. so he knocked a bunch off the price of memphis 1000pr amp and sold it to me.

i think the p3s were a little too much for the crunch amp...

since i have swapped out to the memphis amp everything is fine.

anaways whats the opinion on the memphis amp???
