Help choosing a battery up front?

So im probably going with an XS D5100R as up front battery and spend the extra money on it. I really dont want to cram a second battery into the practically non existant space im gonna have left in the trunk, but if I must I must. I kinda just wanna try it out with an 180amp+ alt and a D5100R first and see if its stable and if not then ill get the second batt. May as well get the most power I can that'll fit up front if I really want to try and run on one batt right?

You should take your old batt out and measure what you can fit, Suprisingly after mesuring for my self my little echo has a ridiculace ammount of room to fit a big *** shuriken bt-100, don't go by what size the say on the optima website.

If your on a budget shuriken is a good option

Mmm not on a really tight budget but nonetheless the cheaper the better. Thats true I may just need to measure out the space and see what I get. Like I said if I can pay once to get the most out of a front battery then that would definitely be best.

ya man, I did the same thing as you, I went on the optima site and figured that was the biggest batt that would fit, but after I took the little piece of shit that was in there out I realized I had like 13"L x 7"W X 9"H

I guarantee you will be able to get a way bigger one under your hood.

the shuriken batts are solid btw, mine is a beast....

Well, I did not have the big bucks to spend. My money is from school grants. Best bang for my buck was the kinetik. Others are high priced for close specs. Oh, and BTW the shuriken site has no price listings. So the only way to even know is to contact them, LOL. That is kind of a turn off right there. Not all people like to spend more time on phone to contact people just for a price. If I built the site there would be prices listed no matter what, especially when it not local, and price for shipping a heavy battery is expensive if you don't want to wait forever for it to get to you. Buying from a shop is cheaper than ordering any day.

By the time I bought this bt80 the extended warranty and shipping is free, but would make it more than the $203 I paid for my kinetik, which is more than enough for me anyways at this site.

Lol money is from school grants too. But if infact i do have alot of space id want more than an hc1400. In fact the best 2 kinetik sells is the 2400 and the 3800. Both might fit if i have as much room as tj_hooker here but the hc3800 is actually more than I need and the 2400 is less. So if a D3100 fits I may go with that and its cheaper than the kinetik. I got my shuriken local....paid about 200 for my bt 100 and that's Canadian....

Kinetik and shuriken are very similar so just get the cheapest one you can fine

An acid type batt will discharge and recharge better then a gel batt. Agm is acid lead base and is better for caraudio application. Yes it still can be mounted which way u want.. Agm is also what powermaster uses
