Help choosing 12" subwoofer

I have a 1991 acura integra. I am wanting to go with 1 or 2 12" subwoofers. I was thinking of getting either ss rl-p, atlas, 2005 alpine type R, or pioneer premier. I am looking for the subwoofer with sql. It will be in vented box. Also I would like oppinions on whether I should go with 1 or 2 12"s in that car and what type of volume outside the car I can expect. I will by the amp to go with the sub or subs.

How much room are you willing to give up for the enclosure? The Atlas seems really well priced right now.

Since you're 30 years old, I imagine that you don't want to hear the bass outside of the vehicle. Sound deadening material (liquid or sheets) will keep the sound in, reduce panel flex (rattles), and greatly cut out road noise.

My friends Teg can be heard from only about 50feet away..2 JBL 1220D in sealed powered by GTO 755.6..but inside it sounds good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Go with 1 DIGIATAL DESIGNS 3512 series or a XXX 12 or even the ALPINE TYPE X. If you have the cash I would go with the DD. Put any of thewe woofers in a decent size ported box with around a 1000watts and it will slam inside the car and how loud the car is on the outside depends on how much sound dampner or deadner you use.

Things we need to know:

1) How much room you have to work with

2) How much you have to spend

3) What type of music you listen to/what type of sound you want

4) How much power you plan on running. If you get sub(s) that require assloads of power, then you'll start getting into needing electrical upgrades for your car (new high output alternator, new battery, etc etc). So, if you don't wanna get into all that, then you need to let us know so that we don't start recommending equipment that needs too much power.

I can use my entire trunk if needed, I listen to r and b and rap mostly. I was trying to spend around 300.00. How do you think 2 atlas 12's would work.
