Help Choose

Alrite now i need to make a decision. I like other peoples opinions so ill just ask...

What sub would you go for if you want nice quality bass. Something that sounds nice...not something that just hits hard. I like bass but alot of people with systems i kno jus try and make it hit as hard and loud as it can. I think thats jus shit bass. Reg has helped me narrow my choices down now i need help. Im kind of stuck on the alpine type r's b/c ive heard them and seen them and seen the quality of the sub itself. When i heard them tho there were 4 12's and im only interested in two as of now. I dno if two would sound good like the 4 did. But heres a few choices a guy named reg gave me (thanks for your help) now i would like opinions and ratings on these amps. If you really dont know plz dont reply. heres what im thinking for the type of bass i want:

1. Alpine Type R

2. Ascendant Atlas

3. Soundsplinter RL-i

4. Resonant engineering SE series

5. Other..?

(Remember im interested in two 12's)

I have not yet purchased an amp... so dont base answers on amps or ask how many watts i already have ect....

hmmm tuff 1. if u want really awesome sq, wit some loudness, juss enuff 2 make ya ear hurt a lil, i would go wit the atlas 12s. now if u want some great output while still soundin nicely, get some RE SEs. havent heard the SS, but have heard the type rs, they are nice subs, but i would choose the others i said over those. so i'd say go wit some SEs.

if you are willing to spend a lil more, look into JL audio's subs, they hit low, they hit clean, and im happy with my 12w3v2... jl is a bit more costly though... the w0 line is okay for entry level, and also, look into the new w1v2, they work with lower wattage, meaning you'll save some money when purchasing an amp, they look cool too =P

Why? i have 3 friends with JL setups... one has 2 W3s, another has a W7, and the last has 2 W0s... we love the W0 setup the most. Of course part of that is because the W0s are in a hatch, but the sq is great and they have nice output
