HELP Cd player skips from bass

Hi, I have a sony x-plod cdplayer is a regular cab 2000 f-150 with 2 10" Alpine sws's run by a 800 watt kenwood amp. When ever i turn my subs up and its on a hard hitting song the cd player will skip sometimes. Is there anything I can do to fix this besides turn my bass down?

Is the deck old? Did it do this when you first got it? Getting it cleaned might help, but there really isnt much you can do besides turning it down or getting a better deck.

good deck = no skipping from bass.
