Help buying speakers??!

Hey guys, I have a 98 Mazda 626 with a Pioneer GM-7200m 800 watt Mono AMP with 2 Pioneer 10" subs(PIO TSW251R). Also, I have a 50x4w Pioneer dehp3800 headunit. My car speakers are stock bose and they are all blown. My question for you guys is, what car speakers should I be looking at, and/or, what would my best option be. I listen to mostly rap with some occasional oldies rock(weird combo, I know...). I know nothing about car audio, so your help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Logan

I'm trying to find some for

Supposedly, there are 6x8's in the front and 6x9's in the back. Circuitcity.com says that 6x8's fit.

I don't know the difference between comp., and coax., I only know that my friends tell me that comp. is what I want so that they won't blow.

How good are these Pioneer 6x8 speakers?

They match my subs!! Lol.

I keep reading things about RMS and how my speakers should be close to my Amps RMS, or something...??? What is this?

Sorry guys for the lack of knowledge...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Okay, If your budget is $200, that's going to be tight... forget about comps... 6X8 coaxes for the front and a small amp for them with a built-in high pass crossover. If you buy comps you won't have enough for an amp, and even coaxes/triaxes with an amp will sound better overall for the money.

For an amp, search for the Profile online store/site.

If I have time later, I'll look around and see if I can spot any good value 6X8's.

That amp would work fine.

Out of all the speakers I came up with, the PPI and Pioneer Rev look the best. The Pioneer has a 1.25" soft dome tweeter... unheard of for a 6X8. The PPI is designed for a flat frequency response even with the tweeter mounted in front of the mid... another rarity. The PPi also have the same foamed poly cone technology as the Polk SR components.

Thanks a lot guys. When I finally get them installed, I'll try to post pics. Thanks for the help!!!

Glad to help out. Which comps are you aiming for?

BTW, Deja, GO BLUE!!!!Ryan Mallett is the man!!!
Mallett has been a welcomed surprise. He seems like he knows how to have fun out there and can actually hit a mark when under pressure. A heck of a lot better than Henne.

Yeah, giving Hart 44 carries against Penn St wasn't a good idea. I think he will get too much wear n' tear towards the end of the season.

I'm leaning toward the REVs because from what i've read, they sound great. Maybe if we could find some nice comps for under $150, but thats my limit for speakers.

Is this a good amp for the REVs?...looks sweet, 1000 watts peak power...sounds good?

Thinking that I will put my Pioneer GM-7300M 800 W amp with the REVs and that audiobaun with my subs? Would that sound good??

Well I hope not. He's a frickin' machine, so I hope he can take it. hehe

Nice choice. I have auditioned the REVs and even on HU power, they do a great job. And they certainly get better with an amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The Type R comps I posted probably wouldn't be too bad at all for the money. Would have slightly less low end than the REVs, but you gain the advantage of having comps if you have a place for tweeters.

Tough choice.

Comps under 150 eh?

PG RSDs

Pioneer REVs

MB Quart DSG-216($139 on sonic)

Theres a few suggestions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
