Help buying my first laptop! ?!

My old computer broke down months ago and i am tired of logging on from my phone. I need someone to recommend me a laptop that looks good and also has what i need. I like the looks of alienware and sonx vaio laptops.i have about $1500 to spend.(will most likely be buying from ebay) I dont know jack about computers but heres a couple of things i want it to have. I want windows not mac. I want it to have a microSD slot. i have a TV with VGA input so i want to be able to hook my laptop up to it. I will be saving ALOT of videos, music, and pictures. I also will be playing the sims 2 along with other games that take up alot of memory. I have never had a laptop before what king of internet service do i need? This took forever to type on my phone so please help. Thanks

I will never buy a laptop, they are too hard to work on and repair. If it were me, I'd get a desktop. Not only is it cheaper, but you can get so much better stuff than what you'd get for the same price of the laptop.

But that's just me.

i would buy a desktop, but i dont have any room for even a small desk. Why was it hard to work on?

b/c theres no room to upgrade...i feel the same way. I had a laptop grew to hate it now I have a desktop and its 100000xs better(not just performance wise)

I love my HP laptop, has everything I'd ever need, and in two years of alot of use the only thing needing replaced was the battery. Just dont get a laptop with a Intel mobile processor or a celeron processor, make sure its the full blown Intel Pentium.

All i have experienced is my HP, and i can say i am greatly satisfied. It does all the media i would need it to, has a SDslot..Not micro but that wasnt out when i bought it. It has been used alot for games (I have the sims on it as well). It also has many access panels. My dad has a toshiba Satellite which is equally impressive. My Bro had a dell lattitude laptop and it was pretty nice but the motherboard took a dump New dells are pretty nice though i heard. Make sure the processor is a Intel Pentium like i said and the rest of the stuff you want are add ons for any of the above stated brands.

i just read over that and was thinking the same thing lmfao....
what is a full blown pentium lol
Not mobile...

There is a intel pentium M processor that sucks..dont get it unless you want a long battery life and little performance.. Get a intel pentium 4 HT or up like a core 2 duo etc.
