I am going to look at an 89 CRX tomorrow. It has a B16a V-tech motor swap in it and also has the HAS Sport mounts. What do I need to look for, at, ask the guy? What parts can I look forward to buy for this motor in this car in the future. Where can I get the interior for this car. It only has the seats in it.

Thank you in advance.

interior gonna be hard to find , at least for a decent price, if u can find a local junkyard with 88-89 and figure out what model it is, hf si dx then buy an entire spare car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

check the rear quarters for rust, if thats a problem in your area.

the tires are bald, and he has miss placed the key.

gota love the "misplaced" key, just make sure to check for blood stains they are hard to get out!

If you want a import car why not find a un-modified / un-moliested CRX owned by someone who isnt a kiddie racer or thief type person, get it for not much (heck it's almost a 2 decade old car!) and drop in a engine! You would end up w/ a nicer car.

I've seen some of those CRXs advertised by old women and such as "gas savers", that look to be in immaculate totally stock condition go for not all that much. Seeing how it has bald tires & a engine swap it was probably beat to all heck, wouldn't touch it w/ a 10' pole!

b16's make a crx move pretty good. mines was fast.. anyways, check for rust around the back wheel wells.. and its vtec not vtech! and hasport motor mounts! those are the best ones u can get, i had them too.. no interior and bald tires means he probly raced and beat the hell out of the car.. make sure vtec works, should kick in around 4800 and pull to 8200

Crx's are so light, you can throw some things in them, and they will scoot quick. Check for your normal oil leaks, oil, brakes, tires, airfilter (see how its been taken care of), cv boots, shocks, and other things that may need to be replaced. And please don't buy a car without a key untill he finds it. You buy the car, hand him over the money, get a key cut and it won't start. I've been through buying a used car that was setup to run untill a few hours later. :p Not a good thing.
