The amp is fine. If your subs have 500 RMS, only send them 500. You won't need a cap. And wire is pretty much wire, the cheaper the better. The kits at Wal-Mart get the job done.

The amps we carry are MTX, And the pMiller, Know any good mtx that would work great?? I mean i need to save money here and i can get a 600$ mtx amp for like 350, so do you know any of those? Also, when you said 1000w x 1ohm, that means i can hook up both volfenhags to it for 500w x 1 ohm right? I am just trying to learn, Thanks gauntlet, you have been a great help so far! I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the MTX's aren't 1 ohm stable, and that would be the ideal impedance to run your subs at. I say go for that Hifonics. It'll power the subs nicely, and it costs less than the MTX you can get for $350.

Well I'm not going to go there, but the amps listed on their website weren't all that great.

I went there and stay with the amp guantlet told you it is better than any at that site.

Gauntlet, would you mind giving me a crash course on audio, basically what efficency is, and what is the best. and so on, just basics i should know? Can you do that

read everything multiple times. from start to end. you'll know more than a lot of people in the car audio business...and even on this forum. sadly i haven't had enough time to read the whole site....but soon....
