i wanted the knukonceptz complete 4awg kit but its out of stock until the 8th //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

i was browsing around on cardomain and found this kit http://www.cardomain.com/item/ROCCP4POS

only thing that isnt on the rockford kit is the speaker wire, which im guessing i wont need since im not installing any new speakers... i'm a total audio noob...

also the fuse on the knukonceptz kit is 80A while the rockford is only 50A, and the fuse rating on the amp im using is 2 x 30 amps.

couldnt i just buy a new fuse or are they specially designed to go witht he amp kit im getting?

holy crap im confused...

Well, are you going to need RCA's or anything else. Personally that kit you linked to looks like it doesn't have much. Need to think about what all you need vs. what you have already. Personally, I bought the one I just linked to from CarDomain. I got them to price match against shipsound.com and got it for just over $51.http://www.cardomain.com/item/KIC05CK44
RCA's?

the kit sayd it includes:

Miscellaneous Connectors

Cable Ties

Firewall Snap Grommet

i think i would of had to get seperate speaker wire any ways, when i contacted knukoncpetz they said that i would have to get speaker wire if the subs werent already wired in the box

also what wiring would you guys reccomend for me? how much of it do i need, its for my infinity subs, they are DVC if it makes any difference

The inline fuse supplied with wiring kits is sized to fuse the capacity of the wire, not the amp.

It sounds like if you cant get the Knu kit and dont want to wait, you should look at the next size bigger on cardomain so your amp's draw doesnt exceed the capacity of the wire.

but both wires are 4AWG?

if i get the rockford kit should i get a 60A fuse or have some cushion with an 80A fuse?

Miscellaneous connectors is not RCA's. They'll be mentioned if it has them. You need the following. Just check off whatever you already have.

Power wire - size according to amp wattage. Look at the sticky in the wiring section for reference.

Ground wire - same size is fine.

RCAs - to connect head unit to amp

Speaker wire to connect amp to speakers and sub - again look at the sticking for sizes.

Miscellaneous connectors along the way.

BTW, CarDomain is an authorized Kicker dealer. I'd rate kicker and knuconceptz wires fairly equal in quality. Kicker is supposed to be more flexible on the larger guages, though.

oh yeah about the RCA's... the install i plan on doing, is disconnecting my rear speakers and having that wire hooked up to my subs, or amp, where ever it connects.

later on when i upgrade my speakers i'll get RCA's and reinstall speakers into the rear

and what kind of speaker wire should i get?
