Hey guys, I'm new to car audio and am hoping to tune my new sub/amp to sound better. I have a 2012 Chevy Sonic LT with the stock HU. I'm using the Crunch PZA700.2 to power a single 10" sub (15-PR10D4V2) in a sealed enclosure.
Subwoofer - Memphis 15-PR10D4V2
size: 10"
rms/peak: 250/500
sensitivity: 86 dB
magnet size: 60 oz
mounting depth: 5.18"
Amp - Crunch PZA700.2
I'm curious what I can set the gain to and still be safe. There's a level control on the amp, which is set around the 3 o'clock position. I have a remote knob which is halfway. (diagram here: goo.gl/WPVFg )
X-over is set to LPF, but I don't know what to set LPF and HPF to. Is it better to leave Bass Boost to 0 and use Gain/Level instead?
I listen to pop/rock and occasional rap, and I prefer tighter thumping bass rather than "rattle your whole car" muddy bass. Any suggestions? Do I need to worry about setting anything too high or low?
Thanks!
