There are multiple software programs that will allow you to do that. Simple put "ipod to computer" in the google search bar. If you search long enough, there are good free one's that will work great.

it's plug and play man. just open itunes and plug your iPod in and it'll ask you to create library with iPod's music, click ok. done.

i have all Apple products and it's that simple. only issue may be if your library is originally on a PC and you're going to Mac. in that case you can either back up your library to disc or remove your old HD and connect to new Mac.

Nope mac to mac. Old mac only has 100 or so songs while ipod has 1000. New mac has 0 songs btw. I cannot sync on either...
