Help a noob!

Hi, im not going to lie. Im a noob at this stuff, so i thought i'd ask some of you guys to help me with deciding my set up. I have seen this on ebay JBL 12" 1200W Subwoofer/Sub and Amp/Amplifier Package on eBay (end time 12-Mar-10 22:51:50 GMT)

It is basically a JBL GTO-1202D 1200W SUB WITH BOX, GTO-752e AMPLIFIER + 10GAUGE WIRING KIT for £120. Thats the kinda budget im wanting to spend for a sub and amp and im just wondering whether this seems a good setup and whether the amp will work fine with the sub, or whether i should get a more expensive one or if there are any other suggested subs and amps for that price range.

It would be alright. But It that amp would under powering that sub. I would atleast get an amp that puts out atleast 300w maybe alittle more. like 400w. the wiring kit is to small I would go with a 4gauge kit but atleast an 8gauge kit.

ahh thanks, this was what i was worried about with the amp being to weak. Could you suggest anything around this price budget? thanks.
