Help, a few newbish questions.

I currently have two 12" w6's powered by a zx1000.1.

They slam, but I don't like the way they sound. I KNOW my box is too small, but I don't have much more room to fit a bigger box, maybe 3 inches on each side.

I like a large range of notes, especially low ones. These hit the higher ones nice and hard, but when it drops down all I hear is the excursion. My question is, would a bigger box make more of a difference, or an Fi Q 15" in a sealed, or ported box, or a 13w7 in sealed or ported to both slam and hit the low notes? what the best option out of those listed.

not always true. Try running a larger sealed box. It will lower power handling though.

True with sealed. I was thinking just to go lower, go ported. I personally like sealed boxes. Yes, it will slam...and HARD witha sealed, but ported will have the sub go lower. Trial and error. And about the room in your trunk...try getting a higher sealed box, or a deeper one.

i just went from ported to sealed to ported and im thinking about going back to sealed again lol...

honestly if you got two 12w6's you wont see much of a difference going to one 15.. fi or w7.. actually you're 12's will prob be louder than they would be..but the box means everyhting
