help! 8" and 12" sub?

So! I currently have a single 12" sub in the trunk. I am looking at adding a second one in the near future. A thought occurred to me that in my vehicle there is already a hole for the stock 8" sub in the rear deck of the vehicle. So do I utilize that space and have a single 12 in the trunk, and the 8 essentially in the car ( as opposed isolated in the trunk) or just go with 2 12.
