HELP! 6x9 install

Hello i have a 2004 grand prix gt with stock speakers. I just bought a pair of db polkaudio 6x9's for the back, which i have no idea how to remove the stock speakers. i see where the bottom of the speaker is clipped from the trunk but the top cage of the speaker seems attached to the carpet. Any help will be appreciated.

You have to take off the panels on the side and take out the carpet, then push in the clips and whammo, your good. At least thats what you have to do with the 2000 Grand am
