HELP!! 4channel amp acting up

okay somebody broke into my car nearly 3 weeks ago

took my cd player, sub amp, and subwoofer, but they left me my 4channel amp

so i just got me a new cd player and just kept the 4channel amp

(still too depress and highly doubt i'm going to get another sub for my car)

so anyways...i electric tape the wires that was supposes to be for the sub amp right...

well here's the problem...i installed my cd player and thinking all my hi's would work, but only the rear speakers work...none of my front speakers work

and i can only turn the volume at 25...if i go any higher it'll start skipping a lot (note: it wasn't a scratched cd)

but yeah let me go through this again

car got broken into...left me my 4ch amp

got a new cd player

4ch amp only work with rear speakers and not the front speakers

and can't turn the volume up high

please help me out!

you taped what? the remote wire? power wires? regardless of what it is you taped, never use tape.

are you sure the RCA's are hooked up?

What kind of amp is it? Just wondering why they didnt take it... is it like total crap or something?

the 4ch amp is Alpine MRP-F240

yes the rca are hooked up

shoo i taped the wire that goes to the sub amp

forgot i'll have to check tomorrow

I just bought a 300/4 and the front channel doesn't work. I took it to Hifi Buys to confirm that I installed everything right and he tested the amp and determined the front channel went bad.

yeah that what i was thinking too...

anybody else has any other idea what's going on?

everything was wroking fine until somebody broke into my car

but yeah i'm guessing i'm going to take all the wires out and just go back to stock

do any of guys know how much that will cost?
