hey let me just run down my set up as far as amps

kicker zx 1000.1(uninstalled)mounted and ready to be wired and a kicker zx 450.2

currently my car is wired for 4 gauge then to 2 distribution blocks(1 for power 1 for ground)each distro block is 4gaugein 2 8awgs out. will i be ok just switching those distro blocks so its all 4awg or should i go to all 1/0 then distro to 4 awg?

thanks for all your help

ok i could get new distos 4iawgn and 4awg ?

heres the way i see it that 1 4gauge power wire is going to be seeing at least 1450 watts right?

im soo lost here i think these are my options/ questions

1.get a 1/0 amp kit then go through distobution blocks to 4awg

2. keep all the wiring how it is and just switch out the distribution blocks to 4awgin and 4awg out

3 could i run 2 seperate runs of 4awg no distribution blocks?

but if you ever plan on upgrading i your system, it would save you time right now to run 0 gauge from the battery to a d-block with 4 guage out.
ditto.
i'm a big exponent of the "always use 1/0" school of thought.

edit: i JUST ran the 1/0 i've had sitting in my closet in the accord... it was a b!tch, but well worth it... i'm entertaining the thought of a second negative run of 1/0 back to the trunk... but i'd either have to cut a hole or run it underneath the car to make it fit...

Running 4/0 and getting it though the fire wall is fun.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

let me ask a couple questions

you should not use distribution blocks for ground correct each amp should have seperate ground?

Also could i use some extra power wire as a ground

I dont plan on upgrading my system beyond this.

ps. i dont have any 1/0 currently and i sure as hell dont need 4/0
