Help 12 Guage wiring?

If the terminals are large enough to accept that size cable then in a word? Yes.

Edit: And if they aren't but you're still hellbent on using that 12awg for whatever reason then you can get appropriate cable terminals that will fit.

I am going to be attempting to install a subwoofer in my car on friday and I will get amp on friday but i got the wiring today and I have the RL-P too. So, I am just wiring everything today. But, ordered the Knuknonceptz 4 guage amp wiring kit and I got a roll of blue 4 guage power wire which i am assuming goes to power of amp and silver 4 guage wire which is ground, RIGHT??

And also what guage wiring should I use to connect remote on amp?

Sorry if I am really stupid in this matter but this is my first time hooking up an amp and I dont want to mess it up

For my own reasons (color really makes no difference in this aspect) I used blue cable for my grounds and silver for power but if the longest 4awg cable supplied with your kit is blue then yes, that is the one they intend for you to use for power and the other is meant for ground.

There is no specific size this needs to be. To prove a point to some idiotic acquaintences of mine I used little-bitty wire for my remote leads (I mean tiny, man....I would guess it would be something like 26awg or smaller.....less than a pencil lead in width)
As it doesn't need to provide any great amount of current to your amp but rather simply supply 12v current period so that circuit in the amp knows to activate it can be whatever size you have handy to be quite honest.

Better to ask a silly question 100 times and prevent yourself from doing it wrong than not to ask at all and burn something up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Prowler, I got 2 more questions. Thanks in advance man. I got an inline fuse too. But how do I wire the fuse. I mean I know that the power cable goes in one end of fuse and come out the other but the holes in the fuse are not big enough to fit 4 guage power cable on either side. What do I do??

And one more thing, with the RCA cables I got they are normal RCA's but dividing the right and left RCA there is is this wierd rubble thing with some silver thing comming out on either end -- You know what that is?? I thought RCA's were just like plug em in

Is there a removeable reducer in both ends? (like if you were to remove the set screw is there a collar of some sort that would fall out?) If so that needs to be removed. Its purpose is for being able to use that particular fuse holder with multiple cable sizes and if you intend on using it with the largest size cable the holder is meant to accept then the reducer is redundant scrap. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Without seeing exactly what you're talking about I cannot say for certain but going by your description I would imagine that it is a inbuilt remote turn-on lead. It keeps you from having to install another run of cable for remote turn-on duties. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Here are pics of RCA cable and fuse. Could you tell me how to wire fuse and what the arrows are pointing to in the RCA Pic. Thank you very much

Dammit, I am not being able to fit the 12 guage speaker wire in the voice coils //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

Can I just trim it down a little bit to make it fit?

well i didnt have to, so you dont have to. i mean i guess you could to make it easier. i just twisted them real good and it fit like a charm.
