Help '06 Picifica

I need help and fast. I tried installing a DEH-P3800MP in an '06 Picifica and no sound. I hooked it up just like I have ever other Chrysler I have ever done. I used a harness from crutch field. I have missed something I have been out of the loop since 04. Please help.

Sounds like a factory amplified system...

I havent worked on a pacifica, but hook up the remote wire from the Deck, to the remote wire on the Aftermarket Harness that conects to the factory harness.

See if that works.

I tried that and it was a no go. It turns on but it has no sound.

Most of the new Chrysler products that have a factory amp use what they call a CAN bus to connect the factory head to the factory amp. You have to buy an adapter that will let your aftermarket head interface with the factory amp.

you can bybass it but you well lose all your warning sounds like door chimes low fuel chimes check eng and so on

So the warning sounds go away, bypassing the amp I am guessing would loose the extra speakers also right.(7 in the pacifica)
