Why not get something like a DC 10k instead. Later on you can add another 10k. Pretty soon you'll be like the sky high GMC sierra with 6 dc 10ks.

the DC10k, monster of an amp. im set on the bc's though, crescendo came out with a 12k not to long ago. that thing is insane. maybe I can do 2 of those lol yeah right that's way to much

If you are near bakersfield, you can get this solid 10k for cheaper than the crescendos. Talk him down the price though, Ending price Should be around 1300-1600

I would get a TFE 8.0 before some 5500's

that's a nice amp no doubt, but since my box is going to take up most of the space in the hatch there is no way this amp is going to fit. if I were to get an amp this big where would I put it? I don't think it would fit under my rear seats on an amp rack either, see with 2 5500s I can stack them and bolt them down where my center console use to be

Put the amp on a rack in front of the box. They are sexy

cant, my back seats are going to be slightly tilted so they are vertical, reason why I did that is to get the max volume out of the enclosure, since tahoes rear seats are kinda slanted. if i left them as is then yeah there would have been room for an amp, but since theres gna be no space whatsoever behind the rear seats and front of the box im not gna be able to put anything there

because I want to be able to see whats behind me, im not ready for a wall yet. maybe ill do a wall on the 93 suburban sitting in my back yard. it has 153k miles on it, and is just calling my name for a big build.

TFE will do 12kw under the right conditions but it's a HUGE amp, not a chance it fill fit under rear seats.

5500's are good amps, I run 5 of them, so if that's what will fit don't hesitate to get em.
