That bodyfat is almost unhealthy. My kid wrestles and you are not allowed to go below 7% or they wont even let you wrestle.
Does he wrestle in high school or college? I personally know 4 guys that would dip below 5 before weigh in. Lol

I can't help it really. I eat tons, but workout a lot. It isn't hard for me to maintain low bf due to metabolism and and lifting. @SpiderMonkey; What is skinny fat? Lol

High school. But I guess the thing is when they go in for their "official" weigh in before the first meet they have to be hydrated a certain amount and they measure their body fat and take their weight. From there they develop a "loss plan" that tells them how low they can cut and by when. They are supposed to be no lower than 7%, but I'm not sure how it works because he was 6.7 and they let him drop another weight bracket so I'm sure he is pretty close to 5-6%. I'm sure most of what he is losing now is muscle, which really *****, but it's what he wants to do.

Yeah I like to workout and diet. I've posted before on what supps I take and a little into my diet.

Lately, my diet has been kind of sketchy. Still eat healthy foods but I've been consuming a little more junk then I used to. Going to start cutting out the crap and try to get my bf% down again for basketball and spring time.

I lift mostly heavy in the gym with a little cardio, but I've been switching it up lately. Doing a lot more vertical jump exercises and trying this 40% max 15 sets of 10 reps. Heard that is can help me get through some plateaus. For bench I've been stuck at 225x9 w/o a spotter, definitely felt some soreness after trying this method.

I also need to start eating chicken breast again. I got a freezer full of that ish and I haven't touched it in weeks. Loving that cottage cheese or peas n carrots for a snack.

I went to school with bros that would drape themselves in palstic bags, put on sweats, and then jog around the track during lunch to make weight. Insane.
Ya I don't think he was eating from about noon yesterday till after weigh ins today. I don't care for that part of it, but he is pretty determined to make state, and as a sophmore would be pretty good.

They have changed some things to try and keep the kids from doing things that are to dangerous, but some of the stuff they do is pretty drastic.

hit dumbells also will help you bust through plateau on flat bench:) also if your doing 9 of 225 do like 3 of 275 shock them muscles !

If you dont wanna lose weight then just eat a **** ton of protein and lift. It is simple
250g of Protein a day, 1.5hr workout regimen. Cut to 225, now building to 245 (at 230 currently). Hope to be 245 and maintain my 4.3 40

I agree that you need proper food intake to get proper output, but an exercise regimen (when done properly) takes it to another level. There are multiple workouts that focus on fat burning, toning, mass building and combinations.

A good book(s) for people is this series: The New Rules for Lifting
