I really enjoyed this Power Muscle Burn 5 Day Powerbuilding Split | Muscle & Strength program. Thought I got good gains also, I need to get back at it, been almost 2 months since I really lifted regularly. I do a cardio routine pretty good still with tire flipping, sled pushing/pulling, box jumps and cinder block throwing.

That is my biggest problem I will do really good for 3-4 months then slack for a few.

6' 1" 225ish 15% bf, 38 yrs old.

 
Then you aren't really trying to gain weight.
I'm trying to gain a specific type of weight. Milk doesnt appeal to me. Whey protien isolate is usually what my main source of protein is/was, like someone else stated in this thread though some peoples skeletal/muscle structures just from the get go dont work the same as others.

I'm not skinny, but wouldnt mind packing on a little more muscle mass.

protien shakes are not a substitute for real food intake for protien .

I didnt say it was. Did I? But how can you possibly eat 160 grams of FOOD protein in a day, every day? I would go broke in a week

I was merely comparing the protein intake of milk vs whey protein isolate which is basically milk

no you didnt say that but alot of people live of that stuff lol . i eat 2x your protein a day . yes i force my self to eat when im not hungry cause im body building . but i do it and it works.

 
i dont know ALOT but i know enough but have infinte access to knowledge alot of my friends are grads of schools in nutrion and personal training . alot of my friends have or do compete in body building so i guess i got that advantage of learning from their mistakes and not making my own

Yeah, you probably weigh 2x what I do though. I can only eat so much chicken or fish in a day. The rest has to be supplemented.
