looking to get a headunit with a usb plug and an aux audio input. not into the ipod thing as i dont own one. i want the usual adjustments, sub, mid, trebble, along with some more advanced fetures.

both of the last 2 models i have owned had everything you are looking for - jvc kd-sh1000 and kenwood x993. i would buy either of them again without hesitation.

the x993 has 8 different colors and you can make a custom color as well. you can also have up to 3 different colors being used at the same time (left, center, right). it is changed via the menu. the kd-sh1000 does not change color.

what about the KDC-X693 it has the same face dose it have colour options too ?

The 693 has everything but the built in bluetooth. Probably the route to go for a sub $200 cd player!!

but i saw it in a car audio shop played with it for a minute, it seems to only have 1 blue colour.
