Might be in the wrong section, buuut.

I have a saturn ion redline and a eclipse avn 7000, my car has the advanced audio system( built in amp for front and rear speakers.) Im tryin to install the headunit with the metra harness for my car but heres the problems.

1. The deck has 12v constant when the key is out of the ignition and the door is open *shouldnt have power/turn on*

2. no sound out of the speakers ugh

if anyone has any insight that would be great

Do you have the correct 12v hooked up, there should be a 12v constant for your hu's radio station/settings memory and a 12v for the on/off

Also how does the hu connect to the amp? via RCA or speaker level inputs?

its a factory amplifier thus it connects via neither i suppose. it has the exact same harness as the radio its self(stock radio that is

test the constant and accesory wires. also since you have the factory amp you may need to hook up the remote wire to turn it on.

u sure you got the right harness for the amplified system? because they're usually different from the non-amplified systems.

are you sure your using the right harness...i know on my truck i had to buy a special harness, can-bus, i think they called it...just a thought

Yeah, for factory amps you usually have to get a special harness.

On the HU there are two 12v wires, red and yellow. Yellow goes to the battery and red goes to the ACC in your car.
