I think Eclipse builds some of the best "all-in-one" units available today...they have the features Alpine doesn't, and they don't have the QC problems of the 880.

But the way their time alignment is set up, sucks big time.

The recent 880s dont have any qc problems. Also if these people bought them authorized in the first place, they could have this issuge resolved.. Get the 880, great deck. Much better value than the eclipse decks imo.

I agree that the TA is pretty lame on the lower models, but on the CD7000/CD7100 it is very flexible.

I'm not saying it's a bad deck, features-wise it's great...just don't buy it unauthorized, in case.

Maybe it is because I come from a small business background, but bahhhh to companies who do stuff shady. Like sell products they aren't supposed too...

Every company encounters production issues . Yes even alpine, and eclipse.. The problem was fixed, no big deal. Case closed

The Eclipse 8445, 8455, 8053, 7000, 7100. Pioneer 880, 980, 9800. Any of these will do. There are some Alpines out there two.

The T/A only sucks on the CD5000, its short on T/A capabilities compared to its brothers, still a **** nice HU for the price that you pick one up for.(8455/7000 or 880/980)
