headlights/interior gauge lights dim

Well i have my 2 12' kicker cvrs powered by a jl audio g1700 amp, with a pioneer DEH-510ub HU powering some 2 way fosgate punch 5x7 coaxils. When i turn on my headlights at night my lights and my gauge lights are dim. They dont just just get dimmer when the subs hit, they stay at the same brightness level constantly, but they arent as bright as before my audio splurge. Im running all this on my stock alt and battery. What is the issue, and how do i go about fixing it?

EDIT: my amp is pushing out about 800 rms and i think my stock alt is 160 or 180. not sure though.

invest in another battery. kinetic would probably be a decent buy and then mount that battery in your trunk and then wire your amp to the 2nd battery with 1/0 gauge wire

you might want to un-hook the system to see if the problem remains it has nothing to do with needing a second battery at this point something is not right, start disconnecting things until you find the source of the problem then replace the damaged part of the setup. you may want to check to see that the alt is still charging.

Well, the thing is i have already blew amps and stuff mainly cuz i dont know how to wire stuff and such, and im not even gonna mess with that. i was just wondering if its a simple fix that a shop could do. and how would i check to see that the alt is still charging?
