Head Units w/ Independent Sub Control?

Hey there, I'm new around here and generally to the car audio world. I've installed aftermarket head units but never delved too far into it. I'm planning on getting 2 12s soon, and I'm looking for a cheap head unit that has independent subwoofer control on it, so that my door speakers don't do the bass and sound like crap.

Anyone know the model numbers of some that have this feature? I was looking at the Kenwood KDC-MP142 and from what I read it has it but I'm not too sure.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have an eclipse 5423 and with the same controls with the volume, bass, treble, balance and fader it has non-fad which goes 1-16 and controls what you have hooked up which for me is 1 - 10" i love it, and recommend it to anyone.

This does. I've had it for a few months. It's great for the $, but there's not much other sound customization beyond Sub frequency, slope, and level.

If you want to limit the bass going to your door speakers, you'll need cross-over capability on your HU for all speakers -- or on an external amp.

Wait, what? I think your looking for a unit with a HPF/LPF as well as sub control.

you want what this guys said. Just about any deck in the $200 range will have that, maybe less. Put a hpf on you door speakers and it will have a seperate sub level control
