I never heard of viewsonic either and also suggest sticking to name brands as well since your spending some cheese. You might be able to get close to what you want in a 32", but wouldnt get your hopes up. If you dont care about name brand then you could easily get something with in that price range. But I have never had good luck with off brands. Check into Panasonic, LG and some samsung's have nice cheaper TV's. I have the 40" Sony LCD and is absoultley fantastic. LG and Samsung are sexy, but they are pretty spendy as well...

We just bought a Hyundai Q321 - 32" LCD HDTV... got it on newegg for just over $800 shipped and it's fantastic. Hooked my macbook up to it via DVI and was watching some HD clips (we don't get HDTV yet... **** Time Warner cable), and they looked fantastic.

or how bout dedicating a room to being a theater by blocking ALL entries of light to make the room pitch black dark (or dark as possible) and have a LCD projector suspended from the ceiling and shining the picture onto a giant white projector screen. that would be bad-*** also.

my deal? i was merely stating that if you want the best quality pic your going to spend more than 1300 for that size lcd. of course you can get a cheaper quality lcd for less than that. but if you get a horrible refresh rate and bad contrast ratio whats the point?
me personally i'm a fan of samsung lcd's.

yea i was sideing with the samsung as well, i have a 10% off at bestbuy
so i can up the price, fan of the LG too
