hds315 not hitting hard

I recently installed a q1-1200, and a hds315. I can feel a slight bump on my highest setting(with hands on the box), I got power to the amp, messed with the RCA cables, my head unit is a alpine cd-147bt , every thing worked perfectly with my single 12 kicker and jl audio 360x4. Any clue to why my sub isn't hitting hard?

Just plugged in another sub and the same thing happened, figuring its the rca cables but I used some high quality rca cables from kicker, could the amp be blown?

Use a 3.5mm to rca adapter and plug an ipod in directly to the amp. If it plays, it's your rca's or the hu.

Might be, maybe not. You can use a digital multimeter to check the AC voltage coming out of your RCA's. At near full volume (30/35, 50/60) playing a test tone you should be getting at least a full volt. If the voltage is low, pick up one of those 3.5mm to RCA cords and plug your phone directly into the amp to try. That will eliminate the RCA's and headunit as potential problems

The cord yes. Radio Shack will have the dmm.

Make sure you wired your subs right? Not positive to negative and vise versa. That what it sounds like to me

Tested it with the phone thingy, will switch wires to in the sub to see if it works.

the box is probably to small with not enough port area

Okay here is an update, 3.5mm cord didn't change anything so I know my rcas are good, tried 2 different subs and still nothing, light is on on amp, re done all eires, any clue on how to get it working?

Gotta try a different amp. Is it grounded to bare metal?

My old amp worked fine, and yeah it is, but a couple of strands are sticking out where in goes into the amp.

Like I said I tried two different subs, one in a sealed box and one ported.......
