HDS315 Help

I have a Hifonics BRX2400.1 Brutus amp and I'm buying 2 SQ HDS315 rated at 1200Rms Each. The Amp is 1X2400 watts at 1 ohm and 1X1600 at 2 ohms. My question is should I buy D4 or D2 HDS315. And I will not be adding more subs. and what do I run them at. can I go over 400rms on each of them, I'm new to car audio so this might be a stupid question.

That amp would work perfectly fine on the two HDS315

Me personally I would get the two D4's and wire them down to a 1ohm load so the subs will get ~1200each.

Don't know how Hifonics do wired below 1 ohm but you could get the two D2s and wire them to a 2 ohm load right now, and later on when you decide you want to upgrade, instead of buying new equipment, just wire them down to a .5ohm load after you have a stout electrical that will support such a thing.
