HDC3 wierd noise

Nice article, never knew the difference between sine wave vs music imp rise. But still I think a HDC3 should take 1500w no problem. The copper suspension is very close to the aluminum according to DJ so they should be able to take the power. And there's like what 6 spiders? No reason for failure at 1500w imo.

Well I can either get it reconed for $65 or send them both in for aluminum coils.. But If I do the A coils im not going to run into this problem again am I? How much power should I put with the A coils? I have an AQ 3500D

yea 3 spiders seperated from the coil not came unglued on an saz1500 at 1 ohm tuned to 40hz in 1.6cuft it couldnt of been getting a massive amount over rated coil never even got warm on the power just spider failure

hmmm well I dont have the room for another 3500D so I guess ill just have to get the copper recone..

Dam i just put mine in i havent heard anything funny outta it. If i recone it im sure as hell am not doin it through audio que. when or if that happens ill just get a team psi recone kit. Any suggestions on how to keep it from happening?

Ok I found PSIs website... Should I send them one of my HDC3s to be reconed and still run the other HDC3 without a recone from them? Or would that cause problems and I need to have them both done at once?
