HDC3 different cooling on motors?

Got a dude wanting to trade 4 HDC3 15s was brand new recones for my SHDs and he told me 2 of the motors have more cooling holes but he talked to soundqubed and they said they will work fine together. Is this true? I think my old AQ HDC3s has a single cooling hole and my SQ HDC3s had more.. I don't remember for sure.

Its a 8 hour drive to get these subs so I don't want to get screwed...

I say call or email Soundqubed. Personally, I wouldn't want to run them if they don't match. That kind of stuff bothers me, lol

Defintely bothered me when my tantrics didnt match. But it was similar with me everyone i asked said it shouldnt matter but like stated i hate mismatched stuff

Iirc AQ went through several variations of the hdc3's. I know the one I sold to the owner of The Black Nasty had a completely different motor than the others he had but they all worked together well.

the different motors will make a difference. if i was you id look into 4 of them sounddrive woofers. they going to punish you with 2k per driver.

i see you want 8 12s.. i have to say the crescendo audio woofers look great. don't look to have a huge coil so im not sure how well they will handle the power.

another woofer i like is the incriminator audio lethal injection and ascendant audio chaos..

They look great and a really nice price but I'm not a fan of pre orders and no one knows how well they really are.

I'm wanting to stay under $1400 for new subs. I lost so much money with my SHDs that I don't want to spend much on new subs..

So far im leaning towards 8 FU 12s depending on his response to my email and built time. If not I'll just buy 4 new HDC3 15s.

not sure why you guys like HDC3s. i didn't like mine. got a 70mm coil and a slightly softer spider pack and it sounded alot better..
