having absolutely no luck with pca's anymore..

so yeah. i bought my 07 soundstream pca-2000d a while ago, but before it got here, a teammate let me borrow his 06 2000d so i could get my setup together and tune everything. well, it turns out, his was having a problem and he didnt have the money to fix it, so he gave it to me, and when i found it didnt work and told him, he blamed it on me. whatever. so (skipping a huge fight) it gets sent back to soundstream. the problem was it wouldnt come out of protection.
