Soundstream reference 500 has a bad channel..

Hey, there has been a soundstream reference 500 sitting in the garage. One of his friends wanted him to take a look at it, and he confirmed that one channel is out. Right now im running like 125x2 rms through my subs on a cheap amp and if i can fix this one im pretty sure i can have it, and it would be a huge step up from what im using now. So what im basically wondering is has anyone had any expirence repairing a channel? I can provide pics of the PCB if anyone is willing to help me out. Shoot me a PM or post in the thread.

There are a couple of places on ebay that repair amps for reasonable amounts.

Yeah i was looking at different repair places in the sticky, but i was mainly wondering if anyone has had any expirence doing this themselfs, and if they had success. I got a basic quote of about 70$ and it would be a lot better if i found a way to do it myself, i know how to solder and everything so thats not a big deal.

I took a look at it today and snapped a few pics with my phone.

Yes, my phone does take beautiful pictures.

Thats the only visible damage that i could find just scanning over the amp, when i looked at most of the caps they looked fine and werent leaky.

So does anyone know what that is? Im not sure exactly, but if i am just able to re solder one thats not a big deal, i can solder.

Also if you repair amps send me a PM with an estimate, just in case i really dont want to dive into this.
