having 2 box's instead of one?

ok im gonna build a box for my single L7, prolly around 3 cubes @ 35 hz... but my question is, later on ill want to get another L7, so could i go ahead and install my single L7 setup, but when the time comes canji ust build the same exact box and attach them together? it *should* be the same as one large 6 cube box @ 35 hz right? i just see other 2 sub ported box's where each chamber is sealed off from the other one with its own port so this is the same concept...

yes, or you could build a dual box with a divided in it and then just install the second one when you get it. That way all the building is done at once.

just a suggestion, it will save you materials, time, etc etc. I dont know how long you plan on running it with just one sub, but if its only a couple weeks, it would be worth it. But if its going to be months, then you are probably better off going with 2 boxes.

it may be easier to get 2 seperate boxes in your trunk if you have a small trunk opening, i may three seperate boxes to fit my three type r 12's in my civic's trunk, External voluem for all three is 11 cubes, not bad for a civic trunk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I hear ya, I have a 4 cubic foot box in there and it looks as though I can fit 2 more in my civic.

i used that as a security measure...... 2 boxes seperate ported at 33hz 2cubes and they fit inside.... but once bolted

together the boxes DONT fit out of the opening.... so that might be another idea for yah....

Adding to what Ctminime said...

use 2 seperate boxes for security purposes. Put an eyehook in the back of each box, then use a gunlock to secure them together. Then run a gunlock from the frame of the car to the loop you just made with the last gunlock. That is, if you have fold-down seats.

Clever... but why not just bolt the box to your trunk frame?

word...I just run 2 carage bolts through my floor and secure them with a lock nut inside the box.
