can i spray paint my whole box. will the paint stay????

Go for it, just do it in a well ventilated area.

MDF requires substantial prep for it to look good...

It will last. Make sure you sand first. Or it will scrape and chip off. And it would look like garbage.

sealer, primer, paint.

I like the fleckstone paint, a lot easier to work with and make look better than regular paint

alright thx guys. so basically prep the surface by sanding it, with im guessing light sandpaper. how should i get all the dust off of the box though? if i put water on it, over time the water will make mdf fall apart

yea the paint will stay on if you take the time to sand it and prep it first, otherwise you could run into some problems with chipping.

Dust it off wit a broom, vacume it, swat it with a rag, blow it off, roll your body in tape and roll around on the box:crazy:

seeing as though you sound somewhat new to all of this and you mentioned your lazy, it'll be cheaper and much easier to carpet it seeing as though you dont have much experience in the rest

X3 on painting being harder than carpet. If you do it right, Painting will take double or tripple the time of carpeting.

MDF does require a lot of prep. to look good when you paint.Espescially the ends.
