Ok I finally got everything taken car of with the flatlyne and I figured out the problem....I think. My last four cars that I had subs in were hatchbacks or suvs and there was no back seat or trunk to worry about. I think this is why the output doesn't seem as loud. Am I correct in thinking this? Does the back seat affects the loudness that much?
Now, don't get me wrong, the Flatlyne is an amazing sub. Hits the lows while playing clean but it is just not quite loud enough SPL wise for me. I have an ap15001d that does 950 @ 2 ohm or 1500 @ 1 ohm. The Flatlyne is d4 wired to 2 ohm so my question is, should I pick up another 12" flatlyne and give them 1500 @ 1ohm or go with a different sub maybe one 12 or one 15 that can handle 1500w? I need to be able to feel my music but still want some sq. Budget is $300 or less. Preferably less since I just dropped 300+ for the flatlyne and I am broke at the moment.
