Has this site gone to ****?

This place is the same. the people have and will change which changes the forum posts. if you feel it is inadequate add to it, or don't say ****, cuz nothing you're saying is helping.

If you don't feel people gave you accurate or enough information ask them in more detail, don't be afraid to. However I do find sometime people are just not willing to go and learn the basics they need to know to be able to ask proper questions, and this can be so tedious to explain from level 1 that I do not always give the layman's answer. I do expect people to look around for different things themselves. I learned most of what I know from reading everything, and like said above filtering through anything that sounds questionable or erroneous.

You have to also understand that in acoustics many things are hard to predict or calculate unless you have certain programs, advanced mathematics, great knowledge of theory; Even then it usually takes experimentation. Every vehicle/system is different.

you've only been here a couple yrs

ok, so how do i go about reading and learning about everything that a beginner in the car audio world would need to learn about? what is ACTUALLY a good place for me to read and learn? i'm not being sarcastic at all....i'm very eager to learn everything i can and i have no problem spending a lot of time to be able to do that

If u dig and search the stickies here, maf, diyma.com, etc you can find a wealth of info

I am two months into my first ever build and I went balls out from the start with the deck, doors, big 3, second battery, custom rear deck and attached box for 8"s, custom built in sub box for 12's, whole trunk removed and rebuilt, etc etc etc, on an active xover setup with four amps running four separate frequency sets,I have never done more than change stock speakers but all I have learned has been by reading every post on every thread I could find, asking dumb questions and doing dumb things and learning from them

Secrets II is a good read, easy reading for the beginner to understand.
