Ran Treo SSi's in a sealed enclosure? I am considering running the SSis on my next build sealed. All input please and why. Thank You.

For the build it will probably be 4 18s.

If you are asking if I have run a SSI in a sealed enclosure then yes I have. I am actually running one now, but its ported. The output is a good bit better ported but the response is nowhere near as good. Depending on the size of your vehicle and what sound you're looking for will let us know how to answer this. Need more info

Well I am considering 4 18" SSi sealed on 2 SSX 2000s or 4 15" same series subs and amps or even 6 15" SSis on 3 SSX2000s

Four 18's sealed seems like a waste of a setup to me. Its never gonna be a SQ winner, and its never gonna win SPL comps.... so why do it. If you just want good sound with LOTS of output, stick to subs that sound good ported imo. Much more efficient system that way.

If you are on team Treo, shouldn't you already know like several people with experience running SSi's sealed?

I could careless about winning any comp in my work car. I just want a nice good sound daily driver that plays all sorts of music. The SSXs ported sound awesome but they are a narrow bandwidth driver, I want something more diverse that can still get loud. Yes I am on Team Treo and no not a lot of people run the SSis sealed.

Who gives a **** why I am doing something. I was simply asking for input, not for your ignorant opinion. Just answer the question if you have experience with them sealed. Thank you.

not everybody wants to win comps. But i will agree that two ported gets the job done in a much more efficient manner

Oh sure I understand that but I want something more diverse in sound. Something that I can put any CD in and have it sound great. That is what I am trying to accomplish, SSis really sound bass a+s. I think they have the sound I want but 2 of those will not be the loudness I am looking for and I do not have the room to do 4 ported.
