Has anyone use the JVC KW-AVX706?

Basically I need to know if this is a good unit. If you dont like this unit then please suggest another one that can be had for undr 800. I'm trying to stay cheap and still get a good product. I drive a 2003 Ford Explorer if that is important.

mine should be coming in today and i should have it in by tonite:up2somet: i talked to only one person who has it and it says it has awsome sq, but they only thing is that it is not nav and it is not touchscreen, he said other than that it will do anything he wants it to do so i will wait and see

I messed with one in the store, and I love it. JVC has giga-mp3. Thats burned Mp3s on a DVD disc. Which is AWESOME to me. I'd definately get it if I were in the market for one.

By the way, which panasonic are you running right now? I have a 7401u thats part of my full pc system. I have had 3 or 4 panasonics, and I am VERY pleased with them.

i got it installed and i must say that i am very pleased with it, it fits nicely in my car and the screen is very nice, i'd recomend it, i still have to play around with it so...but yeah i would get it

what kind of car did you put it in.i have a ford ranger with a double din opening.crutchfield says it won't work, but i think they are wrong.i have a 4" opening.should work huh

i put it in a 94 eldorado, went in easy, i got it from sonic electronix for 620 shipped, comes with a year warranty from them and a year warranty from jvc, its a nice deck, if you have a 4 inch opening it should work, it worked in mine so...

cool, does it come with a cage to install it or am i gonna need an install kit.i ask because everwhere i have looked it says it wont fit my truck.i think they are full of ***t because i have a 2 din opening

it does not come with a cage but i didn't need one, it will come with a mounting kit thats for your particular vehicle but they sent me the wrong one i didn't need one anyways, and it will come with a wireharness if you have the factory radio it will just plug into that and then you can just wire it up from there, you don't have to cut off the plug so if you want to take it out and plug your factory radio back in thats what that is for....if you have a 2 din opening then i would say that it should fit, crutchfield said it wouldn't fit in mine but i already had a 2 din cd player in there so i knew it would....

hey thanks for all the info.i just talked to the guys at sonic and they said it would fit too.i don't have the factory radio but i have a single din in there now.it sounds like a good deal with the mounting kit and the harness.i have bought from sonic before and everything went smooth.so,where in florida are you.i'm in north tampa area

my name should give you a hint, yeah this was my first time dealing with them and i will not hesitate to do business with them again, a shop around me wanted 799 for it plus tax and installation so i just did it myself, i'm in pensacola by the way, i think you will be happy with the unit, it does everything except nav and touchscreen
