@whitedragon551 ; Has shown me a tool that does all of the things that the SMD does. But for $100

Woofer Tester 3

That sounds super useful if it works like it is described //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Saw those. If a local shop had them, I would pay $50 or so for them to correctly and quickly set my gains and get a base tune on my system.

Did you watch the videos at the bottom of the page?

He literally goes through everything. And it honestly works.

If I were a box builder like Pro-rabbit or 007...I would definitely have this tool.

Or maybe if I were into competitions. Seems like it would be best for those 2.

Wouldnt buy them. Would spend more on Fluke just to get SMD's initials off of it.
Can you measure the t/s and such with a fluke? (that is a real question. I really don't know)

I agree. I wish it didn't come with suck my dick's initials on it.

I put the links up.

I have the DD1 and the CC1

Get this instead of the SMD tool. Does the same thing but for less. Tests T/S parameters and box frequencies too

Looks decent, but I could always burn a $5 with those same tones, get Woofer Tester 3 and have the same or better functionality. The DD-1 I'm really against, since you can pick up a DMM for like $50 and a decent oscope for $80 and have MUCH more functionality and control. The CC-1 seems like the tool you can't really find anywhere else, except for playing tones and finding crossover points that way. Which works almost the same, and costs $5, so I'll be doing that.

It seems like a good product. As do the other products. They are more expensive but easier to use for the novice.

Honestly, I like them even more because a lotta people get their ******* all bunched up over SMD.

Probably because they are overpriced, redundant tools that won't ever teach anything.

Again. Useful for both novices with little experience and shop installers trying save time setting up installs, they are easier to use despite the added cost.

isn't that the idea behind a tool? To make a job easier or faster or to " teach something"

Additionally, as a competitor of both db drag and iasca, Ive seen competitors use it with good results. I used a dd-1 on my amps with no complaint.

I've seen real world positive results and that can't be discounted by others opinions.

It would only help if testing the box in the actual vehicle and WT3 can do that...

I use these and they work great. I splice them right before the LOC. One leg on the negative the other on the positive.
