has anyone here used the shipping service "canada post?"

jesus christ, i've been waiting on a package for over a freaking week and IT STILL HAS NOT LEFT THE "SORTING FACILITY"

im trying to complain and there ****ing complaint form has html errors that will not let you fill in a required field needed to submit it! these guys are freaking jokes!!! i suggest if you buy/sell/trade to canada do not use these shit heads

now i cant even email them asking what the **** is taking so long beacuse a required field is blank, but once you click it, it simply goes onto the next field because i've selected an american state (the field is what country other than usa or canada) but if you leave it blank it says "required field "country"

2007/02/06 23:52 RICHMOND, BC Item accepted and entered into sortation plant

2007/02/06 13:30 ABBOTSFORD, BC Item accepted at the Post office

and thats a few days AFTER the person said they had already taken it to ship

Actually, Canada Post isn't as bad as you think. Let me explain:

Once the package crosses the Canada/US border, it gets handed over to USPS for delivery. That's why you don't see anything beyond the sortation plant.

That tracking number can be used on the USPS website, but USPS does not enter the number *until* it gets delivered, rendering the tracking number basically useless for the one receiving the package. It does however, make a good reference for the sender.

So, even though you don't see anything beyond the sorting plant, doesn't mean its not in transit. Standard shipping through Canada Post to US destinations is about 10 business days.

Hope this helps you.

Best,

Mark

PS: I've had my own issues with the postal service, but in all cases, the problems were with USPS, not Canada Post.

I've received a few things through Canada Post and it's always taken about two weeks or so....once i got a small item in 7 days...I was shocked!

The tracking numbers are useless like Mark said.

Good luck!

What he said. I was spazzing waiting for this laptop I'm on right now because the tracking wasn't updating as much as I wanted. It'll be worth the wait once you get it.
