having actually dealt with ED's CSR, I feel that I *must* chime in.

A while back I bought a multitude of stuff from them. My final purchase was for wires which. Of course, after I had purchased and PAID for it, I received notification that they were out of stock. Quite inconvenient. Other vendors will state clearly on website whether their item is available or OOS.... before you actually buy the **** thing

I emailed back, and asked for notification of availability/shipment date. I notified that I was in a change of residence, and depending on the ship date, I may need to have the shipping address changed.

Of course, I was never notified. It took a while... then the product shipped to the incorrect address. I called them, and they denied getting my emails. Of course emails can be traced.. and I proved it to them.

I asked for the package to be 1) rerouted or 2) another package; they basically said "too bad".

FCK EM. I had bought things from them before at higher values. They couldnt send an extra 20$ of merchandise to correct their mistake and satisfy a customer??? It probably cost them 5$, anyway. At the very least, they could have acknowledged that they made an error. So I had an extended delay, because the wait for stock was longer than expected. THEN, I had a further delay because they shipped it to the wrong place. If I had known that I would have to wait 4 weeks for 20$ wires, I wouldve spent triple$$ on it somewhere else.

(literally just last week, i bought a used sub and box combo with the intent of keeping the box. The sub was ED and it was dead, anyway. Anecdoctal? absolutely... however, it reaffirms my stance with ED)

People who say "i have no problems with ED".. thats easy to say. If you buy something, and you get it, of cousre you have no problem with the vendor. You cant speak about their customer service. Now when you actually DO have a problem, and make contact with them, then that defines customer service.

CLiff notes = dont buy their shit

 
i thought they had good service when i ordered from them... then the 9.1 broke after about 4 months of use (and a week after i sold it) and i believe things are going smoothly with that situation as well.

i had purchased a nine.2 and a 13kv.2 a while back and yes i had to wait cause of thier out of stock fiasco but when i did recieve it i was very impressed with the product, i then totaled my car so i was letting my friend use it, then the nine.2 had a problem sent it back to ed a week and a half later i had the amp back, then another week later i had a second nine.2 cant complain about that send in one amp get 2 back, since then no problems with the equipment, its been 2 yrs now, so imho not to bad of a company to deal with, fi is much better but ed isnt as bad as some may say

Woah, so they forgot they sent you your amp back and gave you another? That rocks!

 
There online chat-room tech support is not the best. However, if you get help from them over the phone they're superb.

I've received most of the items I've bought from them without any problems. The only thing I'm waiting right now is my eD 12'' dual vented box from them.
