Has anyone had any experience with Alpine's repair department?

I have the problem found in the thread below. It is still intermittent. It work 1 out of every 10 times.

http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=444653

I've contacted Alpine and I can send it in for $95 and they will try to repair it if possible and give a 90 warranty. My question is: Has anyone done this and were you satisfied. I'm just trying to get an idea or feedback on if it was worth it. I don't want to spend $95 to repair it and then something else go bad a just outside of the 90 day warranty.

I sent in an IVA-W200 to them that wouldn't eject the disc. For $95 shipped, they replaced all the broken parts and went through it to make sure it was up to spec and sent it back to me. I think the turnaround time was 3-4 business days... super quick! Not sure if it'd be worth it on a 9813 but on something that's worth a couple hundred bucks, I wouldn't hesitate to do it.

Its either that or spend 3 times that on maybe a 9887. I don't have a problem with spending the $95 to repair my older unit I just don't want to do it and regret it due to it failing again (within a short period of time). I know no one is going to be able to say "yes it will work for another few years" but just looking for feedback.
